Driving Back to You

I've got a lot of things to say

It's time to get up and die

Looking outside of the window

The sky is brighter than the colors of your eyes

The driveway's clear

The snow that fell last night has melted to water

The stretch of the freeway

And the scent of childhood keeps me driving

So I wonder if this will be my last drive back to you

Changing but staying the same

And deep inside

I've already let go

So I stayed up late singing

Tell me what I'm supposed to do

If you think that I'm wrong

Stayed up late thinking

What you'd gonna say

If I could make it on my own

I count the cars that pass me by

There's no way of me knowing where this road leads me or what caught my attention

I just noticed the rear-view mirror's fogged up

So I'm pretty sure this will be my last drive back to you

Changing but staying the same

And deep inside

I'm already caved in

So I stayed up late singing

Tell me what I'm supposed to do

If you think that I'm wrong

Stayed up late thinking

What you'd gonna say

If I could make it on my own

Yesterday was never as good as you said

But I'm so scared to call it a day and get an answer

Yesterday was never as good as you say

But I'm so scared to call it a day

(I crash and burn on the same old street where the sun won't shine on

I'll wait around till my headaches comes for answers)

So I stayed up late taking another pill with a drink

Doctors never do me justice

Stayed up late thinking

If I'd keep on this way

I'd leave you on the interstate for good

So I stayed up late singing

Tell me what I'm supposed to do

If you think that I'm wrong

Stayed up late thinking

What you'd gonna say

If I could make it on my own

So stay up till the sun shines on you

Just stay up till the sun shines on you

Tomorrow may not be as good as I think

So I'm so scared to waste the time I have right now
